Sunshine List

Gates County is committed to transparency and keeping residents informed about the operations of county government.

In accordance with North Carolina General Statute ยง143‑318.12, public bodies are required to provide notice of official meetings and public hearings to individuals and organizations that request such information. The list of those who have requested to receive these notices is commonly known as the Sunshine List.

Notices are primarily sent by email at no cost. Mailed notices may be subject to an annual fee (ten dollars - $10 per calendar year) as allowed by law.

To be added to the Sunshine List, contact the Clerk to the Board or complete the form below.


Additional Information

Meeting notices, agendas, and minutes are also available on the website and on the county's calendar system when applicable.
