Transportation Dispatcher/Operator

Position Objectives:

The Gates County Inter-Regional Transportation System, under the leadership of the County of Gates, is seeking a full-time Transportation Dispatcher/Operator.  The applicant will require a combination of education and experience equivalent to an associate’s degree in business administration, Accounting, Human Services, or a related field, along with three years of driving experience. The Transportation Dispatcher/Operator must have a valid NC Driver’s license and be able to obtain a Class B CDL with a Passenger Endorsement within nine months.  The applicant must have an acceptable criminal history and driving record and must supply documentation of such before hiring. The applicant must have reliable transportation. The applicant must be bond-able and able to pass a Federal Transit Administration drug screening successfully. The Transportation Dispatcher/Operator must submit to and pass random FTA drug and alcohol screenings, maintain an acceptable criminal background, and driving record.
