Meeting Archives

Gates County Board of Commissioners meets in regular sessions the 3rd Wednesday of each month. The Board will call the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. Meetings will be held in the Historic Courthouse, 115 Court Street, Gatesville, NC 27938 unless otherwise posted.

All meetings will be live on our YouTube Channel unless otherwise specified.

It is the public policy of North Carolina and of Gates County that the hearings, deliberations, and actions of this Board and its committees be conducted openly. Except as otherwise provided in these rules and in accordance with applicable law, each official meeting of the Gates County Board of Commissioners shall be open to the public and any person entitled to attend such a meeting.

AGENDA Submission Deadline Instructions

Requests are to be sent by email or physically delivered to and received by the Office of the Board Clerk no less than 12 days prior to the scheduled meeting date of the Board for which the item is requested for placement on the agenda. All agenda requests will be presented to the Board Chairman for review and consideration. The Board Chairman has the responsibility and authority to decide what matters will be placed on any given meeting agenda. Persons making requests for placement of items on the Board of Commissioner meeting agendas will be informed of the Chairman's decision on their request after the final agenda had been approved by the Chairman.
