Todd's Pharmacy was started in 1956 in downtown Elizabeth City by James Todd. Mr. Todd was not a Pharmacist so he hired Ray Bonney who eventually bought the business. Mr. Bonney owned/operated Todd's Downtown for years until he added a partner, William Owens, and they eventually opened a second location in Elizabeth City. Todd's Northside Pharmacy. Other partners were added and over the years Todd's has expanded to four locations: Todd's Downtown Pharmacy, Todd's Northside Pharmacy, Todd's Pharmacy of Moyock and Todd's Pharmacy of Gates County.
Todd's Pharmacy of Gates County opened in 2003, Brad Hurdle, along with his partner Billy Lane, have managed Todd's Gates since it's inception. Growing up near gates County, Brad has enjoyed helping build a business that serves a small community where "everyone knows your name".
