Water Payment Information
Statement Information:
BILL DUE DATE- Full payment is to be received by 5:00 P.M. on the 16th of the billing month. If the 16th falls on Saturday, Sunday or a County observed holiday, the Payment Due Dates will be 5:00 PM on the next business day. Failure to pay in full and on time can result in disconnection of service without further notice as explained in Cut-Off Date.
PAST DUE CHARGES- unpaid balance.
ADJUSTMENTS- Includes any prior balances, new charges, and adjustments.
CUT-OFF DATE- Payment of all charges must be received prior to this date to avoid disconnection of water service. If cut-off date falls on Saturday, Sunday or County observed holiday you will be disconnected the next business day.
RECONNECTION OF WATER SERVICE:
If water service is scheduled to be disconnected for non-payment a $60.00 service fee will be added to the total amount due.
In order for service to be reconnected the total amount due, a $60.00 service fee and all other monies owed to the Gates County Water Department must be paid in full by cash, certified check, money order or online payment made on the WIIP Portal by 3:00 p.m. on the day of reconnection.
No reconnects will be dispatched after 4:00 p.m.
RIGHT TO DISPUTE- If a customer disputes the accuracy of their bill they shall present their claim to the customer service division before the bill becomes past due.
